Why do we shoot film?

If you don’t already know - all of our wedding photography packages feature both film and digital!

But why?

We get asked so often why film, why is it better what’s different. From a photographers perspective it slows you down. In this fast paced digital world it allows us to be present to be more critical of when to hit the shutter - to create quality over quantity.
You have to be precise and understand the craft to an even higher degree to get the images you want. It’s not about the megapixels it’s about the quality of light, the texture and the ability to capture the true essence of the moment.
The look of film IS undoubtedly unique, it’s nostalgic, aesthetic and the most truly timeless look you can have. So many photographers try to emulate this feeling and look of film. But why emulate when you can have the real thing?

These images become something more, tangible, raw and authentic. Something you can hold in your hand and pass down for generations to come.
